Who We Are

The United Nations Country Team

United Nations agencies are working as one team with Syria towards a shared vision of development and humanitarian assistance.
In Syria, the Resident Coordinator leads the UN Country Team, which includes all the development agencies working in the country. The RC is the designated representative of the Secretary-General for development operations at the country level.  Each agency in the UN Country Team has its own mandate, but all are working together on common themes, some of which include women, children, humanitarian assistance to refugees, employment, health and many others.
